“ Consistent meals every time we've been. The waitstaff has been friendly each time, and we'd not had any issues with service wait times. Daily specials have been quite good, as have the fish frys. We've made reservations the last few times, and have been glad that we did. The only thing that might possibly be better would be the noise, it does get a bit loud in there when the dining room is full. Perhaps some sound dampening would be helpful We will be back next time we're in the area! ”

“ Enjoyed dinner here on a Tuesday night on the patio. I ordered the rigatoni pasta, spinach, mushroom, thyme and chicken dish with had an amazing cream sauce which is not too heavy. My companion ordered the steak special which was topprd with a coffee rub and espresso sauce, and came with rice pilaf. Both dinners were served with a salad and bread. Everything was good. They also offer the fluffernutter beer from Fulton Chain Craft brewery which was very tasty. Service was very slow, but the two servers were very busy, so it wasn't bothersome. If you're able, make a reservation because they're only open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.. ”

“ I'm so glad this place is here. We stay at the nearby Kenmore Cottages every summer and usually go out to dinner at least once on our trip. I saw the Yelp reviews and decided to give it a whirl. The prices for dinner range from $8.95 all the way to $24.95. From burgers to salads, pasta to steak they have a nice variety on the menu. Three in our party ordered burgers. They were large and juicy pub style burgers with delicious skin on fries on the side. My son's cowboy burger came with onion rings, cheese and bbq sauce. My 9 year old niece had a chicken tender basket perfect for kids. My brother's chicken piccata was in his words "a perfectly executed version with a delicious sauce to mop up with the side of rice." My husband's Reuben had plenty of tender corned beef and tangy sauerkraut. Two in our party had homemade burrata ravioli with homemade marinara. I had spaghetti and meatballs with the same marinara. I rarely order that but I'm glad I did. Two large meatballs were just what I was hoping for, tender and oh so flavorful with herbs, garlic and a slight cheese flavor. The sauce light, sweet and perfectly covering the spaghetti. The dinners came with respectable dinner salads and bread. My blue cheese dressing tasted homemade too. A small loaf of warm bread preceded our entrees. We were much too full for dessert but we were sorely tempted. Several types of homemade ice cream including a peach, liquor flavor. Banana cheesecake, pecan brownies and several types of pie. The beer selection while not local was good and they had Saranac Shirley Temple soda for the kids. The decor is rustic and clean with lots of light wood. For 9 of us we paid $165 with gratuity included.A good price for an enjoyable meal. We went back the next day for that ice cream!!! It is quite expensive at $6.00 a serving but oh so delicious. I had the peach with brandy. It was light and so refreshing. I can always tell truly homemade ice cream by the cream feel on my tongue. This had it!! Others in our group had the cookies and cream, maple caramel ice cream and my nieces had pecan brownie sundaes. The brownies in the sundaes were studded with pecans and warm!! So good!! We will be back! *** One thing to be aware of , they add an automatic gratuity to the check for larger parties. We didn't notice until after we already paid. *** ”

“ We walked in on Saturday night a group of 7. We didn't have a reservation. Apparently if you want to sit in main dining area you should make a reservation . We were able to sit broken up into 2 tables in bar area. The bar area was so ADK authentic with the polished wooden furniture. The service was great. The waitress so accommodating. I tried the special drink of the day, a white sangria. It was a little weak but light and refreshing. Most of us had the Cowboy burger well done. Delicious! The bun was lightly toasted to perfection. The beef patty was large juicy and tasty. It is topped with sweet baby rays, onion, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese and 2 onion rings! You have to kind of unhinge your jaw to take a bite, but it's ok don't be shy. You can do it! The fries were also tasty and just the right salty and crispy. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. ”

“ I went here yesterday for dinner. They had the prime rib special 14oz for $23. It was one of the best prime rib I've had in a while. This place has changed its name and management as it use to be hardtimes cafe. I'm so happy to see that they're doing a lot better now that they're under different management and they remodeled the whole entire place like it's a log cabin. It was a nice atmosphere definitely give you the adirondack feel. The waitress was quick and checked up on us at the right times. The only complaint I had about our waitress was she has an attitude and when you asked her any kind of questions she would answer it like YOU should know that answer and act like it's stupid you're even asking that. It happened several times as we asked about our meals. Other then that everything else was good. ”
